Constant ance problem, what is the right product?
Posted by admin on Wednesday Jan 28, 2009 Under Other - Skin & BodyBen asked:
I’m 15/male, I have had minor acne since 12 and its starting to pick up, still not severe. I first started using just clean&clear cleansers (very sloppy and did not use constantly). Then I switched to Proactiv, I did the full treatment a bit sloppy but saw NO results whatsoever. I then (recently) tried the Exposed Skin Care, this was bullshit and didn’t do a thing but screw up my face and made my acne worse.
Having this acne (still moderate) on my face is really drowning my self-esteem. SO bad that when I walk in a store it just pops into my head. I now am going to use the new Clearasil Ultra Solutions Kit and improve diet, exercise, and use it exactly as prescribed and hope for results.
I normally take 2 showers a day and bike a few miles every day. I’ve researched acne products like a mad scientist and now am hoping this simple product will help me. If it dosen’t I guess I will visit a doctor, this will really really burn my confidence. Any suggestions?

Before you spend any money on things that don’t work see your doctor.

The thing is to exfoliate. Try the Serious Skin Care line – they have a gycolic exfoliating wash clothes in packets. It is a peel thing…you can get them cheap on ebay or go to HSN.com. If you continue to keep the dead cells cleared away…the oils dont clog up so bad….try this and use one of those scrub pads in the shower – but lightly – dont rub your skin too hard. just lightly to brush away the dead cells. If you can afford it or have a gym membership – do the wet saunas…they will open the pores and clear them out…they make some little steam things for the face you can buy for home use….do these things and you will probably see some improvement…and i also promise if you will not touch your face it will help SO much….

my advice would be to go see a dermatoligist as soon as possible and not waste any more money on products that dont work, your dermatoligist will recommend products 4 u that will work,so save your money because your gonna need it 4 when u go to the dermatoligist
hope this helped & good luck

well, my sister had acne, not too bad but moderate i guess. anyways she tried proactiv, sucked! then she went to her doctor and he said proactiv sucks and is too expensive.. and he gave her a presciption for some OXY washes and crems and she looked SOOO good not much after! it was really amazing! it really didnt take long either, and i dont think it dried her face out too bad at forst either. i dont knoe if it is the same stuff in the store tho? i know she always had a prescription for it. i say ask your doctor about it! good luck!
also, drink a lot of water and eat well too! that has to help!
