you should clean the skin after you shave. you wouldn’t want to clean it before you shave. if you shaved after you washed your face, it wouldn’t have any of the acne treatment on it anymore.

The BEST way to treat acne if you can get by without doing it is: don’t shave at all. If you don’t shave it will allow your cells to heal and decrease the chance of cellular infection (acne). People with sever acne are told not to shave at all. The only time you could shave is once every 3 weeks. If your case isn’t severe, and you need to shave, then you should shave prior to treatment. If you treat first, shaving will scrape off some of the treatment. Good luck
