Has anyone tried Proactive, Clearasil’s and Neutrogena’s acne treatment? And if so how would you say they rank

I have tried Proactive. It worked but is a life long commitment, or so it seems. I just bought the Neutrogena product (good reviews on Amazon) but the Clearasil product was on sale (only 2 reviews both good). I’m wondering if I made the right choice. Please help.

I tried proactiv and it didn’t work for me at all! Try Neutrogena. Or try Clinique. Or make an appointment with a dermatologist.

On a five star scale

proactive- doesn’t fit my face, it dried it out & irritated it so I stopped using it.
Clearasil- pretty good
Neutrogena- my favorite! I’m using it right now & it usually fits all skin types. I have the oil-free acne wash & it has little scrubbing beads, i love it

neutrogena, clearasil, clean and clear.. its all the same. they all work fine and they all have the same concentration of acne medication.
and i TOTALLY agree about proactive. if you ever go off proactive, you will break out 3x as bad as you used to. it took 1/2 a year for my skin to become clear after going off proactive. PROACTIVE YOU DEVIL!

ProActive is said to be a miracle worker to some, but it only works on a specific skintype, some are left with dry skin that feels SO cakey. I didn’t buy the full set, it was really expensive so I just got the face mask that was $15 for a small tube! I was appauled that my pimple grew tinier the next day, but only took two days to vanish but it left me skin feeling smooth. ProActive- 7 Neutrogena- 6 Clearasil- 6 GOOOD LUCK!

i used clearisils & it worked wonders for me. & i mean my acne was terrible. proactive is ok but yeah if you miss like 1 day you might ended up wearing a mountain of foundation the next

I used Proactiv for a while, but it didn’t seem to do much of anything for me. Now I’m using Clean & Clear, and it’s working great! I don’t know much about Clearasil or Neutrogena’s products though, sorry.
Good luck!

I use Pro active and have VERY sensitive skin. It has worked wonders on my skin, so I’d give it a 10. It is the only thing that works on my skin. Neutrogena made my skin break out really bad, become EXTREMLY red and blotchy, so I’d give it a 0. Clearasil was okay, but tended to try out my face so I’d give it a 3.
I went to a dermatologist and thats how I ended up with the Proactive. What works for me, may not work for everyone. I really recommend going to a dermatologist and they will help out.

Proactiv sucks – it got rid of a few zits but made my face break out even more. It excessively dried my skin up, which made me flake and peel.
Clearasil – it didn’t get rid of my acne but it helped prevent new ones from forming. Plus it made my skin feel really dry.
Neutrogena – I’d probably recommend this one the most out of the three. I’ve just started using the wave but I’ve already noticed a few bumps gone and leaves my skin feeling soft.

I would give Clearasil a 0 because it made my face look worse. Neutragena works pretty good i’d give it a 7 and Proactiv does work extremely well so i’d give it a 9 or 10! Hope I helped (:
