Is proactiv really the best acne treatment out there?

i really wanna acne treatment that works well. one that will repair your skin and stuff. i mean, i don’t have a lot of acne, but the couple i have like won’t go away. lol. and i have some scars and stuff that i want to be repaired. so i was wondering if anyone knows any better acne treatment that’s worked for them???

    DO NOT USE PROACTIV!!!! It sucks and it makes skin waaaayyyy oily. Ask your doctor for Clydoxyl Gel. I swear by it.

    Different acne treatments work differently for different people ;-) but I have compiled some info on Proactiv for you, based on reported experience:

    Proactiv Negatives
    ===================

    - irritating
    - dry out skin
    - expensive to keep having it sent to you month after month
    - clear face up, but as soon as you stop using it the acne might come back
    - it bleaches the cloth…
    - doesn’t seem to work as well on blackheads
    - skin became darker
    - temporarily red in areas
    - slight burning sensation when applying toner/repairing lotion

    Proactiv Positives
    ===================

    - really does work
    - clears your face up pretty quickly
    - leaves your face feeling soft
    - reduce the appearance of pores

    What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

    well, lemme just tell you this.

    proactive works good, but only if you have ALOT of acne
    but if you dont have ALOT of acne, it makes you break out!

    but i use clean and clear just to prevent acne,
    and there are varieties of things to compare to clean and clear!
    mens and womens acne control!

    dnt use proactive thing if u do when u stop its gna make ur acne way worse

    i have 2 boxes of the sets in my bathroom im tryin 2 give away! no good dont use, i havent met 1 person that has used it and seen results!

    Proactiv worked for me, but let me just say:

    if you do decide to try proactiv, try to find it at the mall so you don’t have to order it and deal with the whole membership thing, and in my opinion don’t waste your money on cleansers, just get the repair lotion.
