Proactiv Acne Treatment: More Harm than Good?
Posted by admin on Wednesday Jan 14, 2009 Under TattoosAmsterdam asked:
I have been using Proactiv for a long time, on and off because whenever I apply the repairing lotion, it makes my face look very oily, more oily than if i didn’t have the lotion on. I use a pea-size amount of the repair lotion but it still makes my face very oily and uncomfortable. This deters me from using it as often as I would like to. Does anyone else experience this as well? I am afraid this excess oil will do more harm to my skin than good.
I remember when I first started using Proactiv, my face was drying out all the time. Why is it that now, my face is not drying up by becoming very oily with the lotion, as if my skin is not absorbing the lotion…

I find that it works for me, but it is a treatment and shouldn’t be used continuously until it clears up the skin. Products shouldn’t be used by everyone because it doesn’t work for everyone.
