I use Noxzema cleansing pads. They work great and you can get them at walmart and they are cheap. They burn a little bit, but I guess that is how you know it is working.

clearasil really works but it can dry out your face so should find a good mosturizer

  6. applesquestioner Says:

Put zinc oxide on the zits, and keep the face scrupulously clean. It doesn’t really matter what you use as long as you keep the skin really clean. Then you can attack the zits themselves with zinc oxide.

I use this stuff that I get from the Philippines because they don’t have it where I live, but I have heard that it is in other places here in America… It is called Pond’s Antibacterial cleanser and it comes in a tube. If you see it at your drug store, get it. I use it every morning and it works wonders for my skin!

Also, make sure to use a good hypoallergenic fragrance-free facial moisturizer after you wash!

i use proactiv but if you want something cheaper, use poreperfect.

In my experience, it’s not worth wasting your time using over the counter stuff (I tried many products and none made a significant difference). If you go to your GP he can give you something that will be much more effective – I currently use Retin A gel which works great for me.

    Good luck :)

Mary Kay sells a product called Velocity and it is not very expensive, I don’t think most of that at the store works.

but 2 days ago i got the cleanser from vivite, not at drugstore :( , and my skin has cleared up completely, it works so well!!

you might be over cleansing causing a flare up. I would go to the mall and ask clinique for acne foam wash its 17 dollars and I know its not at a drug store..but its pretty cheap and its great. Plus by the time you try all the drug store kinds you would have spent this much in the end. Just go buy this. If you really cant get it to clear I would get a little derm abrasion its costly but I have seen two of my friends go from acne faces to perfect skin. No joke! Good Luck hun!

Take a wash cloth get it wet with hot water not to hot put that on your face to open your porest wipe them clean do that a few times then put cold water on the cloth and put that on your face to close your pores it shrinks my zits over night no lie thats what I do lol

this is what i do and i saw resluts in about 4 days……since hot, steaming water opens pores, wet your face with it, and use oil free neutrogena acne stress wash, and massage in a circular motion for about 1-2 minutes. then since cold water tightens pore, wash off the cleanser with that (cold water) if the water is too hot or cold on your hands, you can use a washcloth too.

this technique works because some of the cleanser is still in your pores, even after you wash it away because the cold water tightens your pores while the cleanser is in the pore.

after this i use clearasil spot treatment, and dab it on the trouble spots, and just rub it on and dont touch your face afterwards. if you do this correctly, every morning and evening, you should see results

good luck and hope i helped

I have tryed almost all of the drug store cleansers and stuff but none seems to work on my skin, so I went to the dermintologist and they perscribed me “minocycline”. This is the only thing I have ever tryed that actually works, i have took this for over a year now and i never have any breakout. I would suggest going to the dermintologist to, they also gave me a cream to go on the places that does happen to flair up, i think its called “benzocline”. I hope I helped!

  29. divasista_2006 Says:

Hello Lizzy, I’m a stylist! First let me ask you, did you use the product for at least two weeks before you declared that it didn’t work? If your answer was yes and you are ready to try something else, I suggest clean & clear. It is gentle, not expensive, and it works. Try and get all of the components. The cleanser, moisturizer, and toner. If you decide to purchase another brand, please purchase all of your products from the same brand. They are manufactured to work together and the result is clean skin with the correct pH. If you use a bunch of different products and your skin becomes either dry or oily, it’s because the pH of your skin is not normal. The normal pH of skin is about 5.5. I hope this helps and feel free to write back!
